Elena Díaz García
Professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
I defended my PhD Thesis in 2009 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), where I also got my Bachelor in Physics. Afterward, I worked as a postdoc researcher at the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) for almost two years. In 2007 I joined the UCM as an assistant professor and since 2022 I have been a professor in the Materials Physics Department. My research topic is theoretical condensed matter physics but always in close collaboration with experimentalists. I have been focused on the study of transport and optical properties of low dimensional systems: molecular systems, nanoparticles, and 2D systems.
