Doctoral Researcher,University of Campinas,Brazil
Gilberto Vicente Prandi is a PhD candidate in Materials Engineering at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. His research focuses on hybrid and heterogeneous titanium alloys produced by laser powder bed fusion (PBF-LB), emphasizing microstructural control, mechanical behavior, and electrochemical performance. He conducted research at LEPMI – Université Grenoble Alpes (France), investigating corrosion mechanisms of additively manufactured titanium alloys, and at Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), working on powder metallurgy and advanced processing routes. His work contributes to the development of architected and functionally graded titanium materials for biomedical and structural applications.
