Haifei Zhang

Haifei Zhang is a senior lecturer (associate professor) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. He has published over 120 peer reviewed articles and filed 9 international patents as a co-inventor. Zhang authored a book Ice Templating and Freeze-Drying for Porous Materials and Their Applications (Wiley-VCH, 2018). His research interests are on porous and nanostructured materials. He has pioneered in emulsion templating and ice templating for the preparation of hierarchically porous materials. The applications of these materials are focused on heterogeneous sustainable catalysis, separation and water treatment, energy storage, and organic nanoparticles and drug nanocrystals for biomedical applications.
