I am a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. Originally from northern Brazil, I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering in my home town of Belém before moving to Campinas to continue my studies as a PhD candidate at UNICAMP. My research involvement started in the second year of my undergraduate studies, totaling around 8 years of experience focused on the processing and solidification of metals and their resulting properties. My interests span the thermodynamics of metallic alloy systems, additive manufacturing, advanced processing, and thermo-mechanical behavior of alloys.
