Dr. Luigi Talarico recently earned his PhD and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy at the University of Siena. His research focuses on the optimization of synthetic pathways and the characterization of lipid-based nanosystems, with a particular emphasis on Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLNs). In his work, he employs advanced surface-sensitive analytical techniques, such as Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS), to investigate the active functionalization of surfaces with these nanoparticles.
