Dr. Sheila Lascano Farak is an Associate Professor at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (Chile) and a leading researcher in advanced manufacturing and materials engineering. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad del Norte (Colombia). Her work focuses on high-entropy alloys, powder metallurgy, and FAST/SPS processing for energy and biomedical applications. She leads the Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory UTFSM, hosting one of the few FAST/SPS systems in Latin America. Her research integrates processing–structure–property relationships, with contributions to scalable manufacturing of advanced materials, reflected in WoS-indexed publications, funded projects, and international collaborations.
